What? Aroundless – MeetingInZdonov offers for ca 30 young and just graduated artists the chance to research and create during a 5 week long residency between 5 July and 9 August, with intensive coaching by experienced artists. Aroundless includes visits to other art activities in the region, meetings with many other artists, a seminar about art residencies. Participation in the seminar New Air for Artists and Coordinators, 7,8,9 August is included.
Aroundless deals with the frame, the restriction, the border, psychogeography. Every work of art relates not only to an audience but also to its limitations: Every work has a frame, a material wooden frame, a wall, room, abstract limits even a country border. Aroundless: Research, Review, Recreate your appreciation of borders, frames and restrictions. Experts in various disciplines will coach the quests to break the borders between art and audience!
When? 5 July till 9 August 2015 / prolonged stays are possible in connection with MixedMediaLab in Swidnica (Poland) till 25 August 2015.
Exhibitions: Results of Aroundless will be presented in various venues in Europe. Confirmations have been made with the organizations, details will be filled when the artists are selected and planning will be made after Aroundless. The exhibitions will take place into 2016.
