Call for Submissions: 11th edition of the International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy
Deadline: March 31, 2019
Call for films: In 2019, the International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy will propose a focus on Surrealism in Screendance. We welcome submissions of films created during any year that explore the intersections of choreography and hybrid moving image practices that engage with surrealist aesthetics, concepts, and/or heritage. Whether your work is inspired by the Surrealist Movement or proposes a new way of approaching Surrealism, we welcome international submissions of any length that align themselves with Surrealism’s resolve to merge dream and reality into an absolute reality. Selected films will be screened during the 11th edition of the International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy in July 2019. We offer a modest screening fee for selected films. Please do not send films that do not respond to the theme. If you are unfamiliar with Surrealism, please visit the following link to learn more: https://www.artsy.net/article/artsy-editorial-what-is-surrealism
Deadline to submit: March 31, 2019
Artists can submit up to two films, by filling in a separate Google form for each film.
How to submit: All submissions must complete the following Google Form HERE
The Google form contains a line where you can send a link to view your film and provide a password (if applicable). Please note: you do not need to send us a separate e-mail. Please do not send e-mails to inquire if your work fits the theme or not; if you feel your work relates to Surrealism, then please send it and fill out the form where you will have the opportunity to note your film’s relationship to the theme.
