East European Performing Arts Platform (EEPAP) supports the
development of contemporary performing arts (dance and theatre)
in 18 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Derida Dance Center in Sofia contemporary dance residencies (Deadline: 5 July)
Derida Dance Center in Sofia, Bulgaria opens a call for an artistic residency in the field of contemporary dance and performance for 2015.
Two residencies are available for contemporary dance artists coming from outside of Bulgaria.
Each residency will last 30 days. The applicants can express their preferences for a 30-day period of rehearsals within the time frame August 1st – October 31st.
Derida Dance Center will provide space and technical equipment (sound system) for rehearsals. Each residency team will receive a sum of 1020 BGN for daily expenses. Travel expenses and accommodation expenses are NOT covered and their organization is a responsibility of the resident.
At the end of the residency either a complete performance or work in progress needs to be presented in Derida Dance Center.
Each resident is required lead a 10-hour workshop with local dancers (5 days, 2 hours per day). At the end of the workshop a presentation of the results will be done in Derida Dance Center.
The final date for sending the application forms is July 5th. The chosen applicants will receive an e-mail by July 12th.
