Dear friends and colleagues,
We are happy to announce the 10th edition of Georgian Showcase, that will take place during the Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre and will present a selected group of performances and companies from Georgia – Tbilisi, the capital and regions of Georgia.
The GEORGIAN SHOWCASE is an integral part of the Festival and aims to promote Georgian Theatre and its integration within the world cultural network.
The GEORGIAN SHOWCASE is open for festival and theatre managers, critics, programmers, journalists, reviewers, curators, potential co-producer and artists – anyone interested in new experience will be welcomed!
Briefly about the past:
We introduced the ShowCase in 2009 and since then we have hosted theatre professionals from all over the world: USA, Germany, France, Italy, Israel, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, UK, China, Oman, Azerbaijan, Canada, Japan, Korea, Iran, Turkey, Spain, Sweden etc.
Performances presented by the ShowCase became the guests of numerous festivals and cultural events: Theatre Olympics in Korea and in China, Israel Festival in Jerusalem Festival, Bozar theatre centre of Fine Arts, Sibiu International Theatre Festival, Young Directors International Theatre Festival in Germany, Fadjr International Theater Festival, etc.
Georgian Directors are invited by different theatres and companies across Europe and Georgian theatres are producing several international coproductions during every season.
So, in international theatrical communities the Showcase is being discussed as an important partner. During each year we are starting new relations, get new friends and partners, create new communication possibilities.
As usual a great number of Georgian companies will perform during the next edition in Tbilisi!
