MittOst Forum Regionum: Call for participants (Eastern Partnership, Germany, Russia)

MP

Forum Regionum is a platform for professional exchange and development between artists, cultural managers, urbanists and other creative people acting as change-makers in regional towns in Germany, the Eastern Partnership countries and Russia.

Participants are invited to take part in a residency in and around the old water tower in Oberhausen (Ruhr region) from 9 to 18 December 2016 guided by three local and international experts from the field of art, urban activism and regional development.

The aim is to intensively work together and to create pop-up and moveable formats and interventions for abandoned and unused buildings or public spaces that can be transferred from the context of Oberhausen to the home regions of the participants. Furthermore, participants will have the chance to visit and talk to local initiatives, communities and cultural institutions in Oberhausen and other towns of the Ruhr Region presenting sustainable and successful projects for the development of urban arts and culture.

The organisers offer 18 places for participants from the Eastern Partnership countries and Russia. Reimbursement of travel expenses to and from Oberhausen, meals and accommodation will be provided.
