Open Call: World Stage Festival, September 27th, 2015 (Portugal)

The UNITYGATE 2015, happening in Lisbon, Estoril and Mafra is now calling individual artists, professional companies and / or informal groups to submit their work for presentation at the Cultural Exchange Platform on the World Stage to be held in Jardim do Cerco, Mafra, on September 27th, 2015. World Stage is a Multicultural Festival of Dance and Music of the World, connected to nature and sustainability. There will be exhibition stands, workshops and performative shows in balance with the surrounding nature.

The deadline for proposals is: June 13th, 2015.

The results will be communicated on July 15th, 2015.

CONDITIONS OFFERED BY THE ORGANISERS:

The organisers will promote the event and is responsible for schedule and publicity;
The organisers will provide the space and technicians needed for site specific presentations indoor or exterior. Each case is treated individually;
Basic technical support is ensured for sound, light and stage.
The organisers will not cover travel expenses, transportation and / or insurance;
The organisers will not be responsible for the loss or damage of material;
Any promotional material can be brought and be placed on site.
Artists might be called to offer a workshop during the day as a side show;
The organisation might invite some projects to be brought forward on other cities of Portugal;
The authors of the selected projects must sign a statement giving the copyright of the piece to the organisation;
The organisers may invite choreographers / artists to participate in other presentations, events, debates, conferences and special sessions included in UNITYGATE.
The organisers are allowed to film and photograph the presentations and to use parts of it (never more than 3 minutes ) to promote the event, archive or for educational purposes.
