Stay Connected - a networking event for civil society actors from Germany, Russia and the Eastern Partnership countries

Three-day networking event for civil society actors from Germany, Russia and the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine).

ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) is committed to peaceful and enriching coexistence between people and cultures worldwide. The intercultural exchange fosters on-going dialogue of people and institutions and boosts the formation of networks between organisations in Germany and the partner countries in a sustained manner. 
This networking event initiated by ifa offering 40 employees of institutions and their partners, which implement the programme 'Expanding Cooperation with Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries and Russia', a platform to get in touch with each other, to share experiences and ideas, to seek synergies and to learn from each other. 
The networking event is preferably addressed to the institutions in Germany, who would like to participate in the event with their partner organisation from Russia or the Eastern Partnership countries in tandem.
At the core of the event are the exchange of civil society issues and the further development of existing approaches through attendees. Participants work on the deepening of their methodological and professional competences, while receiving feedback from others regarding their experiences and consider further development of upcoming projects.

 

 

Goals

Participants have the possibility to establish new contacts, strengthen existing relationships and share their knowledge regarding the challenges of project implementation in the target countries. Participants will be able to exchange instruments, methods and know-how on the following topics:

  • Commemoration and dealing with history
  • conflict management /mediation
  • Youth exchange
  • Mobilisation of young civil society actors

 

Operational framework

Participants work together on various topics in groups of about 10 participants. Trainers/curators will provide support and assistance during the workshops.
Working languages: German, English and Russian.

 

Procedure

Call for applications will follow soon. 
Travel and accomodation costs for the organisations, which are not located in Berlin, can be covered by ifa.
