The “ARé” performing arts festival (www.arepaf.am) is a " hybrid art " fest. The hybrid art category is dedicated specifically to today's hybrid and trans-disciplinary projects. Primary emphasis is on the process of fusing different media and genres into new forms of artistic expression. The festival showcases acclaimed international and local artists and mixes them together with an alchemy that inspires audiences, rejuvenates artists.

2017 edition of the “ARé” performing arts festival looks at contemporary innovations in storytelling - interplay between the plastic and the visual in multi-modal narration, the translation of stories across media and cultures. "Performing Narratives" - this is our working title for current edition.

“ARé” performing arts festival is unique among the region’s festivals. Multidisciplinary and international in scope—the festival stands in its commitment to bring together critically acclaimed work from different disciplines under the umbrella of a single festival. “ARé” highlights new ways of storytelling, new forms of staging, new approaches to combining disciplines, and new views on contemporary themes and issues.
