PLAYGROUND 2016

Thursday 17 - Sunday 20 November

For the tenth consecutive year Playground shows a selection of unique performaces by artists that are not limited to one discipline. In their practice they freely combine elements from installation, text, film, sculpture, architecture or choreography. Their challenging live performances in the field between stage and visual arts bring together objects and bodies. They create new visual images that reflect on art, the world and the mediatization of life. For its tenth anniversary, Playground launched a 'closed call' to several art schools that have visited the festival in recent years. A number of them will get a platform during the festival programme.

With Alex Cecchetti, Alex Reynolds, Anna Barham, Benjamin Verdonck, Dora Garcia, Emily Mast, Hugo Roelandt, Israel Galván, Pedro G. Romero & Filiep Tacq, Lisa Vereertbrugghen, Liz Santoro & Pierre Godard, Marge Monko, Marie Reid Kelley, Marnie Slater, Michael Portnoy, Nástio Mosquito, Paul Hendrikse, Sarah van Lamsweerde.
