Xchanges, May 16 – 18, 2019

Hamburg, Germany

From the organizers:

The international festival and network meeting "Xchanges" in Hamburg Mid-May is approaching and we kindly invite all artists and producers to participate and discuss.

Since 2013 the funding programme Szenenwechsel (Change of Scene) has supported nearly 60 international cooperations in the performing arts. For the conclusion of the programme the festival Xchanges (May 16 to 18 at kampnagel, Hamburg) is all about key questions on transnational cooperation. To share experiences gained, to think of future network possibilities, to discuss principles of solidary collaboration and suitable funding schemes. During three days there is time for an intensive exchange, in panels and workshops and evenings packed with shows. Please register here.

The Szenenwechsel sponsorship programme aims to promote transnational collaboration and support artists working with partners in Eastern Europe and North Africa. The Xchanges festival presents a selection of the works created within this programme, reflecting the great variety of social and political questions raised and aesthetic approaches applied. Xchanges is also inviting all past and current cooperation partners and internationally active artists to discuss the potential of transnational cooperation. These discussions will focus on issues such as contexts and future challenges.

The Festival XCHANGES iis an event by ITI in cooperation with Kampnagel, funded by Robert Bosch Stiftung, Produktionsleitung kunstwerk e.V.. Program curated by Branko Simic.
