Mediteranski plesni centar / Mediterranean Dance Center

Description
Information about institution:

Mediterranean Dance Center is located in a small Istrian town of Svetvincenat/San Vincenti, in which the San Vincenti Festival is held.

The space itself was a former Culture Club that wasn't in use for many years. After a 10-year-long initiative, in 2010 Zagreb dance company acquired an exclusive permission to use that space and develop it into the Mediterannean Dance Centre.

Our work has been focused on supporting artistic research and experimentation, providing a basis for the renewal and innovation of artistic languages. In opening of a residence space, our aim is to support artists in research, creation, production and presentation of their projects and we do so by providing these artists with working space, basic technical conditions, and a platform for communication, exchange and presentation.

The project of MDC in 2014. is supported by Zaklada Kultura Nova and Istrian Region.
