How Jaromir searched for his happiness

The play was inspired by the poetic story with the same title by Peter Svetina. Astronomer Jaromir spends most of his time in his attic looking at the stars and waiting for his luck to turn. He is counting on the heavens to provide him his luck in the shape of a comet.

Everyday Ms Jarmila comes to visit and she helps him around the house. On a cloudy day when there are no stars to be seen, Jarmila shifts Jaromir’s telescope to view the streets of the city. This takes him on a magical walk between the personal stories and moments of the city's inhabitants and their day to day life. Suddenly Jaromir realizes that he has been looking for happiness in all the wrong places.
