Call for applications: "Pitch New Works Now" session at Wrocław 2013 Congress, Poland

The International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) is accepting applications for "Pitch New Works Now", a forum for creators and presenters to promote new international cultural projects in development or that have recently premiered.

Selected projects will have the opportunity to be pitched at ISPA’s 27th of June Congress, The Next Chapter to take place June of 17th – 22nd in Wrocław, Poland.

Applications can be found in the Pitch New Works Now section of the ISPA website (www.ispa.org). The deadline for completed applications is April 4th at 5:00 pm EDT.

About Pitch New Works Now
At "Pitch New Works Now", two pitch presenters serving as project representatives will share their new work with ISPA’s prestigious international network of more than 300 performing arts professionals from 50 countries.

Selected applicants have seven minutes to pitch their new work and three minutes immediately following to answer questions facilitated by the program host. After the pitch session, participants have the opportunity to interact directly with delegates during ISPA’s informal networking session; ProEx (Professional Exchange).

Who should apply?
Creators/presenters interested in presenting project in development or ready for touring to an international delegation of performing arts industry professionals. Prospective projects vary in discipline, scale, and country of origin. Multidisciplinary and/or cross cultural projects are particularly attractive to ISPA delegates, though all project types and applications will be considered. For the Wrocław Congress, priority will be given to projects that reflect the diversity and character of Europe.

Prospective projects have to meet one of the following!criteria:

  • Be in development and will premiere within the next two years OR;
  • Has recently premiered and has a potential for international touring!

Applicants do not need to be ISPA members. ISPA welcomes all eligible applications. All applications will be reviewed by a committee of ISPA members.

Simultaneous translation for presentations from Polish to English will be available for selected Pitch presenters as needed.
