She She Pop "Testament"

Akcent - International Festival of Theatre with Social Outreach is aimed at the wider public and representatives of marginalized groups of citizens, but also caters to specialists, art theoreticians, journalists, students of art schools, artists and members of artistic groups and associations.

The festival was founded in 2010 on a social initiative by Prague’s Archa Theatre and the Theatre from the Passage in Bánská Bystrica. The Akcent festival appeared from an urgent need to create a platform for art that breaks the barriers between artistic creation, social problems and politics.

The Slovak part of the festival took place from September 30th to October 2nd and the Prague part from 4th-7th October 2010.

The Festival aims to present activities where art is performed as part of socially beneficial or socially critical activities. It also gives space for art that works in the form of documentary theatre, community art, social intervention, art in public spaces, or art that focuses on specific social themes. The Akcent Festival wants to provide a new perspective on the function of art in a social context.
