The organizers wish to present the Culture for the Eastern Partnership Congress and an innovative project called "The East of Culture".

The East of Culture is a joint project of the three largest cities of Eastern Poland: Białystok, Lublin and Rzeszów. Under the East of Culture, you are invited to Lublin on October 1st − 6th to take part in the Integrations − Mediations festival.

On October 4th − 6th, the Culture for the Eastern Partnership Congress will take place which will bring together artists, intellectuals and practitioners of culture who strive to changes in culture and are ready to engage in implementing these changes, who seek new forms and territories for artistic and animation activities, who are open to partnership combining work at the foundations in the society and courageous artistic ambitions.

The organizers also have important notice for creative artists: they search for artists to take part in the Integrations−Mediations festival.

The East of Culture is a new form of cultural cooperation between cities of Eastern Poland and countries of the Eastern Partnership. It is the first time that the three cities: Białystok, Lublin and Rzeszów are discovering such large scale opportunities for joint endeavours to be taken by various groups in order to share cultural ideas across the borders, to facilitate artistic and cultural exchange, as well as ensure mobility of artists and their works.

CALL FOR ARTISTS

The organizers search for creative artists to take part in the Integrations−Mediations festival which will take place on October 1st − 6th in Lublin, under the project on cultural cooperation between cities of Eastern Poland and the Eastern Partnership countries called "The East of Culture". The project was launched thanks to the involvement of both artistic circles and Eastern Poland local authorities, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and the Polish National Centre for Culture.
 
The organizers earch for artists dealing with various forms and fields of art and cultural activity from the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries within two thematic areas.
 
The criteria of selecting artists and sending applications:

The organizers search for artists and art groups who work in visual and performing arts, including site-specific art, street art and land art, performance and happening, and who use in their practices such cultural activities as workshops, meetings, presentations and so on. The subject matter for art projects can be defined as surpassing all kinds of borders, including geographical, cultural, mental, social, and administrative ones.

  •  Exhibition of street photography of the Eastern Partnership countries

Spaces of the Eastern Cities – Curator: Tomasz Kulbowski (Poland)
An open invitation to participate in a street photography exhibition is adressed to both professional photographers and amateurs. There are not age limits and define particular parameters of photos. The objective of the exhibition is to present a group portrait of people (even if they are not literally present at the picture) in public spaces of the Eastern European cities.
