EEPAP residency at the 2015 TRANSEUROPA festival in Hildesheim, Germany

Residency during the Transeuropa Festival in Hildesheim, Germany.

Time: 27th May to 1st June 2015

In May 2015 three Ukrainian artists visited the Transeuropa festival in Hildesheim, Germany, as part of the Artistic Residencies project. The visit was initiated by the organizers of the festival and co-financed by EEPAP.

The artists selected for the program were:

Mykola Homanyuk - a director, playwright and sociologist, the author of many documentary plays shown in Kherson, Cherkasy, Slavutych, a member of the Centre for Youth Initiatives TOTEM, the head of the Kherson branch of the Ukrainian Sociological Association.

Maksym Afanasyev  - a director and visual artist, the author documentary plays, artistic director of the Centre for Youth Initiatives TOTEM.

Iuliia Manukian - an educator, journalist, curator of artistic programs at the TOTEM Centre.

About the Transeuropa festival

Transeuropa is a European festival of performative arts established in 1994. The 8th edition will take place from 27.05. – 01.06.2015 in Hildesheim, Germany. The aim of transeuropa is to support young performing artists in their artistic work.

The festival team, consisting of theatre students from Hildesheim, searches for an intensive collaboration with artists and art-collectives. The central part of the next festival will be a two-day transdisciplinary congress dealing with current and future conditions of work and labour in the arts and beyond. All people involved in the festival - artists, audience, festival team - are invited to participate in this program.
