Are you a young theatre curator or researcher?
An artist interested in contemporary Polish theatre?

POLSKA NEW THEATRE is an international program designed especially for people interested in learning about and promoting Polish theatre worldwide.

Organized by the Department of Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw, and Teatr Polski in Bydgoszcz, it is part of the Year of Public Theatre in Poland and the Year of Polish Theatre Worldwide.

POLSKA NEW THEATRE is three intense days filled with presentations by leading Polish artists and cultural and research institutions. It also features workshops and productions by young Polish directors (including up-and-coming director Weronika Szczawińska, theatre pedagogue Justyna Sobczyk and Prof. Dariusz Kosiński, Assistant Director of the Theatre Institute). Representatives of all of Poland’s most important theatre institutions, organizations and groups have been invited by the organizers to travel to Bydgoszcz for the event. They will present their activities and their plans for upcoming international projects, thus giving participants a unique opportunity to form a network of contacts with potential Polish partners for both research projects and artistic ventures. The presentations, productions and workshops will focus on the most recent phenomena in Polish theatre and performance art – those that are not yet widely known, but that stand out by virtue of their innovativeness and address problems that transcend local boundaries. POLSKA NEW THEATRE is an unprecedented opportunity to learn all about the new wave of Polish theatre over three days in one city.

Shows will be supertitled in English, and interpreters will be provided for Polish-language activities.
The number of places is limited.
The organizer will cover travel costs and accommodation only for selected participants.

To be held on September 25-27 2015 in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

Registration will remain open until April 10, 2015.
