Open Call for 2nd Edition Of Warsaw Zawirowania Dance International Choreographic Competition, that will take place between 18th and 20th November 2016 in Warsaw, Poland.
The Warsaw ZAWIROWANIA dance INTERNATIONAL CHOREOGRAPHY COMPETITION is a project concentrated on presenting artists from a variety of countries in Warsaw—both young, emerging talents and professionally experienced choreographers and dancers. We take into account the full variety of styles, movements and phenomena which characterize contemporary dance.
The goal of Warsaw ZAWIROWANIA dance is to create an interesting offering for the public: the opportunity to attend a prestigious, international dance event in the capitol city.
The call is open to
- Choreographers with documented artistic achievements or dancers 18 or older holding a relevant diploma.
- organizations/institutions which represent a choreographer 18 or older with documented artistic achievements.
The submissions should be:
- autonomous;
- premiered between: 01.09.2014 and 30.09.2016 (rehearsal footage is accepted);
- neither shorter than 10 minutes nor longer than 15 minutes;
- without scenography (excepting small elements);
- limited to three people on the stage;
- can be performed publicly for an audience within the technical and spatial limitations of the black box;
- may use any style of music and may employ the wide range of styles and techniques which characterize contemporary dance;
