George Sand – Frédéric Chopin Residencies Programme

The residency programme is open to artists active in any field (literature, music, visual arts, performing arts, media arts, etc) who live in Poland, France, or Germany, as long as they

have a formed means of artistic expression and wish to develop by pursuing interdisciplinary artistic initiatives;

posess an acute social and political sensibility;

are interested in comprehending and propagating their art in a social context;

are open to interactions with other artists;

are open to the Genshagen centre and the Foundation's programme;

are ready to confront the idea of a Polish-French-German programme;

are ready to present their work to others.

Those selected for the residency will be awarded:

EUR 2000 in three instalments and extra funding to cover material expenses (to be agreed upon separately);

a refund of travel costs;

accommodation in a spacious studio with access to cooking facilities (food is not provided)

The deadline to apply is 3 February 2017.
