EEPAP travel grants for IETM Meetings in 2017

East European Performing Arts Platform / EEPAP in collaboration with International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts / IETM announces an open call for the new placement within mobility programme for performing arts professionals.

 

This call is exclusively dedicated to individuals from Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine).

 

The program is a unique opportunity to experience the benefits of being an IETM member by attending the Spring and Fall Plenary Meetings.

 

The grants are given to individual persons, who are affiliated with a professional organization/ institution, who work in the field of performing arts in one of the eligible countries, and who are not a member of IETM at the moment of applying.

The applicants have to acknowledge their availability to attend three out of four consecutive Plenary Meetings (which usually take place in April and November) and confirm their fluent knowledge of English;

There is no age limit for the applicants;

EEPAP will arrange and cover international travel costs between the place of residence and the place of the Meeting, accommodation during the Meeting, as well as per diems;

The agreements with the chosen grantees will be signed for a period of up to 2 years (period of four Plenary Meetings);

EEPAP and IETM have the right to cancel the agreement after the first Meeting attended by the grantee if her/his activity during the Meeting does not meet their expectations of active participation;

IETM might ask the grantee for additional contribution to the Meeting program;

EEPAP and IETM will provide the granted attendee with navigation for the sessions as well as a dedicated contact person;

After each Meeting, the grantee will provide EEPAP and IETM with a report of activities during the Meeting and how the experience of the Meeting had been transferred to local environment of the grantee. The report has to be submitted within 4 weeks after the end of the Meeting.

The awarded applicants will be contacted by March 10th, 2017.

The first IETM Plenary Meeting applicable within the programme will take place in Bucharest, between the 20th and 23rd of April. All of the chosen applicants need to be able to attend the first Meeting.

East European Performing Arts Platform (EEPAP) supports the development of contemporary performing arts (dance and theatre) in Central and Eastern Europe.

The project is designed in particular for creators, curators, people running independent artistic centres and festivals and theoreticians from 18 countries, including the Balkan and Eastern Partnership countries. The aim of EEPAP is to support and facilitate international exchange between artists and activists and development of educational programmes concentrating on performing arts.

The main activities of the project include:

  • the website eepap.culture.pl, a tool for the exchange of knowledge, contacts and experiences of the platform’s members (workshops, seminars, labs);
  • lab meetings, workshops, conferences;
  • residency programmes;
  • research projects and reports.

 

 

International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM) is a network of over 500 performing arts organizations and individual members working in the contemporary performing arts worldwide: theatre, dance, circus, interdisciplinary live art forms, new media. Members include festivals, companies, producers, theaters, research and resource centers, universities and institutional bodies.

IETM aims to stimulate the quality, development and contexts of contemporary performing arts in a global environment by initiating and facilitating:

  •             professional networking and communication,
  •             dynamic exchange of information,
  •             know-how transfer and presentations of examples of good practice.
