British Council & Unlimited: Unlimited International Placement for disabled arts professionals

Are you a disabled person based outside of the UK and working (or beginning to work) as an arts producer, curator or arts administrator? Unlimited could be looking for you!

In partnership with the British Council, Unlimited is offering an international professional development placement for a disabled person, aiming to support the next generation of arts leaders through this unique opportunity.

The 10 week placement will offer a hands-on experience of the delivery of the Unlimited programme, with approximately 6 weeks based in the UK working with the team on the delivery of various activities at Unlimited festivals in London and Glasgow.

This opportunity is fully supported by a grant to cover the financial expenses incurred, and to provide any access support required. Applicants must also be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.

Unlimited International

Unlimited is an arts commissioning programme that aims to embed exceptional work by disabled artists within the UK and international cultural sectors, reach new audiences, and shift perceptions of disabled people. It is delivered in partnership by Shape Arts and Artsadmin, with funding from Arts Council England, Arts Council of Wales, British Council and Spirit of 2012.

In 2016 an Arts Council England’s Ambitions of Excellence award, match funded by the British Council, enabled Unlimited to extend global influence principally through co-commissions with non-UK based disabled artists.
