Club ElectroPutere (Romania): Open call for residencies

ElectroPutere Artists in Residence is part of the Club ElectroPutere cultural programs.

CEP is a contemporary art center based in Craiova,Romania.

Since 2009 CEP has been devoted to establishing close cooperation between artists, curators, researchers, and other cultural actors through interdisciplinary programs and residencies. The center’s activity focuses on producing and researching contemporary cultural manifestations. CEP promotes especially alternative art, new creative media, multiculturalism and interdisciplinary, attempting to create connections between the local and global cultural contex.

The Artists in Residence programme at Club ElectroPutere in Craiova is part of this endeavor and provides artists with a guest studio and the opportunity to live and work in Craiova for a period of one month. Club ElectroPutere provides support for the Artists in Residence programme.

The residencies are designed for artists in the field of contemporary art. Each residence offers:

• a fee of 3800 Lei (800 Euro) including taxes

• a studio space of 200m2

• accommodation for the whole duration of the residency

• cover for transport 500 Lei (105 Euro)

• production budget

• opportunity to host a public event (such as presentation, workshop or exhibition
