Summerspace: Performing and visual arts residency for Belarussian artists, Minsk, Belarus

MP

The organisers are seeking 10 authors or collectives working in performative arts (theatre and physical theatre, performance, music, dance), and 10 authors or groups working in visual (painting, graphics, photography, installation and sculpture) or digital formats, “young enough to dream of a creative residency in an abandoned factory, open enough to share it with each other, to build common processes or immerse themselves in creative isolation, brave enough to balance on a line stretched between spectator interest and new discoveries, interested enough to give the residency at least six hours a day.”

The Summerspace project is designed for the whole summer. The minimum duration of the residency is 4 weeks, the maximum period is determined by the dialogue between the author and the curator based on the results of the first stage of work. The date of the beginning of the residency and its duration are individual for each author and are determined during the interview.

The curator of Summerspace is Georgiy Zaborsky, head of the OK16 Hub.
