Open call for applications: Eco Art AiR (Talin, Armenia)

MP

Today, ecology is at the centre of political, social-economic and cultural discussions.
Eco Art AiR is a new TAI artists-in-residence program, at the crossroads of art, ecology and sustainable lifestyles. It is aimed at promoting socio-political, cultural and economic issues that are projected on the eco-system.
Eco Art AiR is an opportunity for local contemporary artists to spend a certain period of time in Talin/Aragatsotn Region, to live, create and transform environmental objects (waste materials) into art. During the stay, artists will explore the city and the community, utilizing Talin's cultural and territorial peculiarities as a factor of their art. Abandoned buildings with artificial value will serve as modern art studios, rethinking their significance and contributing to the artificiality of art objects. When creating artwork, community involvement will be important.
The program will become a cornerstone for recovering abandoned land with dynamic and sustainable creativity.
