Actors-Space Berlin started its activity in 2009 contributing to Berlin’s cultural scene. It offers acting training by Mike Bernardin based on Sanford Meisner’s acting technique. Located in Kreativhaus Aqua Carre in Kreuzberg, where it occupies two big studios. It is the centre of an international actors' community. Actors Space has developed a complete programme of acting training.

Actors-Space Berlin, home to Germany's leading professional Meisner classes, embarked on its first year-long, foundational acting programme two years ago. It offer the training for forth time. It will begin after Easter 2012. Three semesters of twelve weeks each, and a final intensive course dealing with the practical aspects of production at the end of the year.

In addition to the core acting classes, you will benefit from regular voice, movement and camera training, with the Actors-Space faculty of top coaches. The training programme is for anyone who is serious about the craft of acting, and is looking to train, or re-train in the necessary skills.

Actors-Space Berlin:

”Meisner's unique approach to acting will teach you, in purely ways, to relate deeply to your partner's behaviour and respond truthfully.

You will discover how to act from your character's point of view, improvising freely according to the character's personality. Throughout the year you will work repeatedly with scenes and monologues to test and deepen your understanding of the craft. Thanks to text analysis, character creation and good audition practices, you will have a chance to participate in a theatrical or film production in the final semester part of the Actors-Space Ensemble.

This year will instill deep confidence in your skill as an actor, allowing you to be playful, spontaneous and authentic in every moment of your work. This is the only Meisner actor programme in Europe that offers the most comprehensive experience of all the classes as they are taught in New York”.

Participation fee: starts at 4165 euro for the core Meisner programme, with additional modules paid separately.

Fees may be paid in instalments throughout the year. Sponsorship of your fees might be available from GVL, the FFA or the Arbeitsamt, depending on your status. The Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung also give a Bildungsprämie which will pay up to 500 euro of these fees, if you qualify.
