development of contemporary performing arts (dance and theatre)
in 18 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

East European Performing Arts Platform (EEPAP) is an organisation that supports the development of contemporary performing arts with a special focus on the so called "Central" and "Eastern" Europe. Its aim is to strengthen and facilitate the international exchange of artists, curators and thinkers in the field of contemporary performing arts in Europe and to develop educational programs focused on the performing arts in the context of contemporary society.

Our main activities include:

  • implementing the educational program DESANT with a focus on the social and political context of contemporary arts in Eastern Europe
  • providing space and tools to share contacts, ideas, experiences (lab meetings, websites, workshops)
  • running residency programs for dancers, choreographers, theatre makers
  • carrying out research projects in contemporary performing arts in Central and Eastern Europe and delivering reports on performing arts organisations from 19 European countries

EEPAP’s structure:

The board: the Adam Mickiewicz Institute team and 4 members from Lublin (2 persons from the Culture Department of the Lublin City Hall and 2 directors of the Culture Centre in Lublin).
