in 18 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

Course: Capacity building for cultural managers (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan)

The course, to take place in Tbilisi, Georgia, is organised as part of the “Regional Art and Culture Project in the South Caucasus”. The project is managed by the Culture and Management Lab with financial support of the Swiss Cooperation Office for the South Caucasus (SCO).

The course is designed for mid-career representatives of cultural institutions, curators and arts managers (eligible countries: Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) who seek to improve their abilities and acquire new skills in project and team management in ways that enhance project success and organizational effectiveness.

The course consists of three separate one-week long intensive sessions that will take place in Tbilisi/Georgia at the end of February, April and June 2016. It will combine theory and hands-on practical work on refinement and implementation of individual project concepts suggested by the selected participants (projects have to be realized until the end of 2016). Participants will have an opportunity to receive maximum of 2,300 Swiss Franks for production costs of the project.

The course will focus on the following topics: development of a project from the idea, team building, project management, communication, marketing, strategic planning, partnership and audience development, case studies.

The course will be conducted in English language with Russian translation. It is desirable that selected participants have a good command of English language, however this is not a must.

The concept should include information about the goal of the project, its duration (should be finished by the end of 2016), description of main activities and outcomes, target groups, partners, implementing organization or individual and the budget.
