Attila Szabó - Theatrologist
Currently working in the Hungarian Theatre Museum and Institute (Országos Színháztörténeti Múzeum és Intézet).
Born in 1983 in Dés as an ethnic Hungarian in a small town in Transylvania. He moved with his family to Hungary in 1999. Graduated in 2001 from the University of Pannonia in Veszprém, receiving a degree in theatrology and English language and literature.
From 2008 he has been working for the Hungarian Theatre Museum and Institute as coordinator of the international department, as well as project leader and researcher. Currently he works on his Ph.D dissertation at the University of Pécs.
The most important projects: “Theatre After the Change, And What Was There Before the After?” (2011), “Theatre Architecture in Central Europe” (2008-2010)
Awards: Országos Tudományos Diókköri Konferencia, National First Prize in the section of Stylistics in 2005.
International cooperation: Theatre Architecture in Central Europe (2008-2010), STEP Project on European Theatre Systems (research group).
Plans: Research on theatre and coming to terms with the past, theatre translations.
