Call for submissions: Perform Perform festival in Switzerland
PERFORM PERFORM is a newly initiated festival which is dedicated to contemporary performative praxis and combines theoretical and practical aspects of performance art. It will take place on 27-28 August 2016 in Düdingen (Fribourg, Switzerland).
The aim of the festival PERFORM PERFORM is to create a platform for experimentation and exchange for the local performance scene, and to think - by using an interdisciplinary approach - performative art afresh. Hence, on the one hand, the possibility of exchange between experts and emerging artists is being created, on the other hand the limits of the medium performance are being tested. Within PERFORM PERFORM performance will be understood as a contemporary medium of expression and a bridge between different disciplines ( performance / music, performance / language, performance / theatre, performance / dance, performance / theory ). The heterogeneous approaches towards the performance of each artistic work as well as the focus on interdisciplinarity create the festivals character.
