East European Performing Arts Platform (EEPAP) supports the
development of contemporary performing arts (dance and theatre)
in 18 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

A-i-R Wro: Residency programmes at the European Capital of Culture (Wrocław, Poland)

A-i-R Wro is a long-term and interdisciplinary artist-in-residence programme established under the auspices of the European Capital of Culture Wroclaw 2016. Based on a collaboration of local and foreign partners it aims to create an international platform that will enable artists, curators, animators, managers, organisations and institutions to cooperate and exchange their experiences, practices, ideas and knowledge. In addition, A-i-R Wro intends to promote artists, support their development and mobility as well as to give them an opportunity to form cultural bonds beyond borders.

The organisers invite artists, art curators, cultural activists and managers, who represent various fields or actively create in border areas between them, to create artistic and/or cultural project directly reflecting the main idea behind this call: art and culture during migration crisis in Europe in the 21st century.

The programme offers:

• 2-month residency in Wroclaw between August and November 2016

• accommodation in the city centre

• coverage of travel expenses up to €600

• total fee in the amount of €1350 gross per project

• substantive, production and promotional support

The organisers invite artists and artistic collectives (up to 3 members) living, learning or working in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Hungary, United Kingdom, Italy, Albania, Montenegro, Iceland, Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Israel, Kosovo, Morocco, Moldova, Ukraine, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

The application should include the following documents in English:

• CV

• portfolio

• description of the project and its realisation process including project’s schedule and potential partners from Wroclaw (institutions, organisations, individual artists and artistic groups)

Applications can be submitted only via e-mail rezydencje(at)wroclaw2016.pl by 11th of May 2016. The subject of the email should include the name of the country and the applicant’s name and surname. Please also include the preferred months of residency in the e-mail.
