INACT 2020 Festival (France): Open call for artists

MP

From the organisers:

The INACT festival is a meeting about performance art, established in Strasbourg in 2011. This multi-disciplinary gathering will take place from April 30th to May 18th 2020 as several events during night and day hours. We invite artists using all media -musicians, visual artists, actors, dancers, poets...- for whom their work is actively staged and performed live and to propose projects related with this year's theme: Declonisation

For its 10th edition, the INACT association invokes diversity in every meaning, either human and the object of phobia, or non-human as an ecosystem.

Nowadays, in the same gesture of the selfie, with the same emoji or even with the same meme, language tics uniformize everyone's expression.

Within the rise of the social network era, the meme becomes the barometer of the trending topic as a hashtag, but also as a new performative image or sign to share in order to stand out.

Even though it may belong to everyone's mouth, and to everyone's signs, how to distinguish oneself by means of the meme and affirm one's particularity? Which opinion offers diversity or freedom of action within "memetic" communities? What are the stakes of mimesis, is it individualization or only monoculture?
