MP

As a part of PERFONAUTS Artists in Residence program Raczej Gallery will host four artists on two short term residencies in September 2016. Following a week's work, the artists will prepare the final action based on the local context and space. Artistic activities will take place in urban areas or in the Gallery Raczej space- in Perfex.

Galeria Raczej is an independent space founded in 2011 focused on promotion of broadly defined performance art. Over 5 years of activity the Gallery has presented about a 100 artists from around the world. The Gallery collaborates with different spaces by co-curating international events with the participation of Polish artists. Raczej funders are coordinators of social engaged local initiative which aims to create an art district. As of 2014, the gallery has had a second bigger space and as of 2016 is developing the residency programme Perfonauci (Perfonauts).

The Project takes place as a part of Włącz – Łazarz – Nowi Bohaterowie (Turn on Łazarz- the new heroes) which is organized by the initiative Łazarz Otwarta Strefa Kultury (Lazarus, an open culture zone). The Initiative is an attempt to create a cultural-artistic district in Poznań.The project aims at improving the quality of public spaces by combining the forces of culturally and socially-active people.

The deadline for applications is July 31th 2016.
