The BODY_GRAPHICS FESTIVAL FOR CONTEMPORARY DANCE AND PERFORMANCE is pleased to announce an OPEN CALL
For works to be performed at the first edition of the festival. BODY_GRAPHICS is dedicated to the distribution of contemporary dance and performance in the southern Balkan and the facilitation of new international work collaborations and networks for Bulgarian artists. The festival seeks to support young emerging artists from Bulgaria, working in the field of dance and performative arts, who are currently establishing their artistic profile within the Bulgarian art world. We want to enable them to present their artistic profile on a national and international level.
Performances up to 45min. to be shown at the first edition of BODY_GRAPHICS FESTIVAL FOR DANCE AND PERFORMANCE, travel costs within Bulgaria and a small fee for performing covered.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Bulgarian artists, living in Bulgaria, working in the field of dance, performance and other body related performative arts. We are particularly interested in works addressing the physical body in innovative forms, bodies being present in space and time, being a body in certain environments, being human flesh from the perspective of a political body, economical body or environmental body. How does a living body survive in today’s global context? Where is the body’s focus directed to?
HOW TO APPLY?
Please fill out the form below and attach a video link to the performance (full length and trailer, if available) and a CV. Describe in detail the concept, idea and method of the performance and give information on all people involved.
