Publish Your Manifesto In The Contemporary Performance Manifest Book

MP

Contemporary Performance is asking performance artists to submit their manifestos for a publication. From the organisers:

The Contemporary Performance Manifest
A book of Contemporary Performance Provocations

Publish your manifesto in this new compendium from the Contemporary Performance Network!

Submission Deadline July 20, 2015 Midnight EST

Contemporary Performance Network invites you to join in our crowd sourced (artist and network) compendium of contemporary performance manifestos. This second publishing project by the network announces who we are as a field, what we desire and what we are fighting for. We believe a book full of diverse ideas and intentions from contemporary practitioners is a great start.  What are your concerns? What do you want to do with your practice? Why are you making art in this day and age? What do you demand from other artists, and audiences? Why and how should we go on?

“We can’t go on, we must go on!”

The book will be a paperback (up 200 pages) in black and white and will be published in September 2015.

An art manifesto is a public declaration of the intentions, motives, or views of an artist or artistic movement.

A manifest is a document listing the cargo, passengers, and crew of a ship, aircraft, or vehicle.
