East European Performing Arts Platform (EEPAP) supports the
development of contemporary performing arts (dance and theatre)
in 18 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

Residencies at Choreographic Center Heidelberg (Germany)

Since the opening of the Choreografic Centre Heidelberg in 2013 (CC HD), Baden-Württemberg has next to the venue HebelHalle another attractive choreographers program. Up to eight residencies for the development of artistic projects for the duration of some weeks  will be given annually to artists from all over the world working in the fields of dance and performance art . 

The residences will be selected twice a year by a jury.
The jury consists of the choreographers Jai Gonzales and Iván Pérez, and the Deputy Director of the Academy of Dance in Mannheim Rosemary Helliwell (look at the Site CONTACT).

Application deadline for residences from February to Juli 2019 is the  30th of November 2018.
Application deadline for residences from August to December 2019 is 31st of May 2019.

For a residency at the CC these services can be requested:

  • dance studio/rehearsal space and a „Studiobühne“ of 300qm
  • Accommodation (max. 5 people)
  • Scholarship in the form of production compensation (budget plan required)
  • Production support (by arrangement)

A residency does not automatically include a public performance in the HebelHalle.
