Tripoint - Klepisko Summer Session 2017 Residency Program (Kazimierz Dolny, Poland)

Application deadline: 15 June 2017

Klepisko is an artist-run non-profit organization founded in 2015. A group of young artists created an experimental theatre space in an ordinary, rural barn near Kazimierz Dolny, Poland. Painting, music, performance and LARP-type games? Our barn is open for every aspect of creativity.

TRIPOINT SUMMER SESSION:
A tripoint is a point at which the borders of three countries meet. In South America, Mount Roraima serves as the triple border point for Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil. Many of the species found at Mt Roraima are unique and endemic for the area.
Tripoint is an artistic experiment. We are looking for places where dance crosses with painting, calligraphy with theatre, or maybe singing with architecture? Everything is possible. This Programme is open for interdisciplinary work and mutual interpenetration of the arts. It is our belief that when different art disciplines meet - something unique happens.

2017 theme: LEGENDS.
A legend - a non-historical or unverifiable story handed down by tradition from earlier times and popularly accepted as historical.
“Legends” are the starting point of our joint activity, and will be the common theme behind our works. At the end of the 5-week long Programme, the results of our work will be presented. Maybe it will be a collective work? Maybe an exhibition, a concert, or a performance? Who can tell! As it is usually the case with experiments, it is hard to predict the final results.

Application Deadline: 15.06.2017
We are granting 5-week long residencies, starting 17.07.2017.

There are no fees for applying and participating in the residency.
Please note that apart from providing working space and accommodation, we are not able to cover your travel costs or offer any financial assistance.
