East European Performing Arts Platform (EEPAP) supports the
development of contemporary performing arts (dance and theatre)
in 18 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Volunteers from France and Ukraine wanted: a one-year creativity and culture project by Cultural Association "Postcard", Hajnówka, Poland
Cultural Association "Postcard", the organiser of WERTEP International Theatre Festival, is recruiting EVS volunteers. The association is currently looking for 3 volunteers from France and Ukraine (young adults between the ages of 18-30) who are interested in doing a year of volunteer service in the field of Creativity & Culture.
The project will take place in the town of Hajnówka and will last 12 months (September 2015 - August 2016).
Volunteers will be involved in the following activities:
Everyday participation in activities of Association and A3Theatre, e.g. co-creating spectacles, scenography, preparing promotion's strategy;
Learning about impresario work - internship in the office;
Learning how to organise a large artistic event - theatre festival;
Exchange of experiences - learning a language, making new contacts;
Participation in theatre rehearsals and workshops - as observers and participants;
Sightseeing Poland during the tours with the theatre.
We are open to giving the volunteer the opportunity to realise their own ideas. We encourage volunteers to envision new events and create their own original work, either with the help of the Cultural Association ensemble or independently.
As we frequently work with our local community, the volunteers will be encouraged to become active participants in our local society. It will be an informal and inter-cultural education experience which will help the volunteer expand their self awareness and knowledge about cultural heritage, history, values, languages, interpersonal skills and dealing with people from different backgrounds.
