DESANT 2013: workshops, lectures, presentations, discussions, blitz-performance – Kherson / Ukraine: Images

DESANT in Kherson, Ukraine: 30 October – 3 November 2013

DESANT has been carried out by the East European Performing Arts Platform (EEPAP) since 2012 and is addressed at artists, critics and theoreticians of performing arts in the Eastern Partnership countries. The DESANT activities are rooted in local reality and related to a specific socio-political context; they combine workshop elements with theoretical reflection and are created in close cooperation with partner organisations.

The Kherson Desant events were organised as part of four interrelated projects organised by our Ukrainian partners Regional Department of Sociological Association of Ukraine / XOO CAY and Centre of Youth Initiatives TOTEM: “Democracy word-for-word” (a yearly series of artistic and educational events promoting democratic models, curated by Mykola Homanyuk), the second edition of the “Verbatim and society” seminar (curator: Mykola Homanyuk), the twelfth edition of Terra Futura festival (artistic director: Maksym Afanasyev), the second edition of “Document” International Theatre Festival (Lviv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kiev; curators: Andriy Mai, Katerina Babkina).
